Well, I haven’t done it in a while, probably at least 6 months or so, but last night I pulled an all nighter. I tried to lay down and sleep, but I just couldn’t turn my brain off. I just have so many things to do this week. Elly’s birthday party is Saturday night. I’m trying to finish the bathroom (yes we only have one!) that we ripped apart over a month ago & still haven’t fully finished, making favors, writing a bazillion lists- hit the 24 hr Wal-Mart for groceries & all the Easter stuff I needed to by for the weekend, but didn’t want to store in my house, so didn’t buy it ahead. Things are coming together… it’s just a lot to juggle.
So why am I sitting here writing instead of cleaning my house or any of the other 48 things I need to get done today? Because I know that if I don’t start writing down what I’m eating, I could go out of control. I am definitely a stress eater, so I’m going to just edit my post with every new thing I eat- it’ll keep my blog at the top of the list where more people could see it if I’m not behaving. So… here’s what’s gone down the hatch so far today…
3 am Snack:
Fiber One Chocolate bar………..2 (20R)
I have to say THESE ARE SOOOOOO YUMMY!! I never would have thought they were that good- my fav 2 pt. snack for sure!!
Breakfast:
Honey Nut Cheerios…………….2.5 (17.5R)
1/4 C 1% milk………………… .5 (17R)
Snack:
Another Fiber one bar………….2 (still just as YUMMY!!) (15R)
Lunch:
Peanut butter & banana sandwich……….7 (8R)
Snack: SF pudding w/ 1 Tbsp lt whipped cream 1 (7R)
Dinner:
1.5 pieces veggie lasagna………………………..6 (1R)
1.5 pieces of bread……………………………….4.5 (-3.5FP)
w/ a tiny bit of butter…………………………….1 (-4.5 FP)
I did go a little overboard with the bread… but it was soooo good- crusty & soft at the same time!! Mmmm

2 slices of Vinny’s Grandma’s Pie…….8 (10R) (think extra chunky, really good tomato pie w/ extra garlic & just a teeny tiny bit of mozzarella sprinkled on here and there- it’s AWESOME!! Roni if you’re ever in Pa, this is the BEST pizza place- hands down!! Be thankful you don’t live near one like that.. it’s really tempting!!)
Dinner: (at 11:00 PM- meeting went reeeaaly late!)
Whopper Jr. w/ cheese……………..10 (0R)
Unfortunately, I didn’t have much choice of what to eat that late at night. Only Wendy’s and BK were open. I was on my way to the Super Wal-Mart to do my grocery shopping since my cupboards were bare & knew I would chow down on something really bad there if I didn’t eat before going. The sad part is, that is the first fast food I have eating in over a month (maybe even two) and I didn’t even enjoy it!! I remember eating some of the lettuce & thinking that I truly think I would have preferred a salad. That is odd for me!!
Oh well, it wasn’t healthy, but it kept me from splurging at the store & I didn’t even have to use any flex points. It’s extremely late now… so GOODNIGHT!!

The Wendy Plan
Do you have a personal opinion on it or did you ever try it? I know I’ve read (in Roni’s FAQ section I think) that her trend was that she lost more when she used more of her flex points & I seem to be that way as well. I’m thinking about using the Wendy concept of varying my points range each day and altering it slightly so that I don’t go overboard one day like she says, just b/c I don’t want to go back to overeating that much. On the days where I plan to eat higher points, I’ll still eat healthy, just maybe have a bigger breakfast & maybe a small “special” treat- and on low days, use little to no flex points. Any negatives I’ve heard about that plan have been that the extra high day can put you into a binge or that it makes it easier to overeat and then just say “well I’ll just make today my high day” & then be stuck later in the week.
I’m a little scared to try this b/c I really don’t want to be derailed at this point. But at the same time, I’m feeling pressure b/c the fitting for my sister’s wedding is so close & I’d like to get a second wind as it seems my weight loss is slowing a little. I feel like I’ve gained a lot of self-control and will power over the past month, so I feel like I could stick to the high/low schedule.. I don’t know… could someone make up my mind for me please!?!

Sorry I didn’t get a chance to post this yesterday. Things are starting to get really crazy trying to prepare for all of the upcoming events! Nothing too eventful foodwise… I do have to say that once Jason is able to eat more normal foods we will have a lot less pizza in our diets!! He’s a pretty picky eater to begin with, and pizza seems to be one of the very few foods that he likes & that he can chew well. He had to go back to the dentist yesterday & have his stitches resown.
( Not fun!! I bounced around with the kids on the trampoline for a 1/2 hours after dinner- we had a lot of fun together & my legs got a good workout. All they want to do is lay down and have me jump & bounce them “really high”. It was fun!!

FRV: I was proud of myself for the Dove truffle egg- Let me explain… I stopped at the Wawa to grab some soda to go with our pizza & of course at the register they have all this Easter candy. Normally- lately anyway- I don’t have a problem passing it up b/c it isn’t a real favorite of mine. Yesterday, they had the Dove Truffle eggs (my fav) & Zitner’s Butter Krak (Jason’s fav- isn’t that an AWFUL name for candy though!! LOL) Anyway, I decided to buy one of each. Why is that so good you ask? Normally I would have bought at LEAST two, probably 3 for myself & normally I would have eaten ALL of them on my way home in the car so that no one would know. I bought one, and almost started to inhale it as soon as I sat down in the car. If I had done that I probably wouldn’t have even put it in my food journal. Don’t ask my why.. I think my brain thinks if I inhale “bad” food in private that it doesn’t count.. but I’m working on that! (LOL- any Heroes fans? kinda reminds me of Jessica!! My naughty brain makes me eat bad things!!) Anyway… sorry I’m rambling today!! Instead of wolfing down multiple truffle eggs & took the one that I bought and saved until after the kids were in bed & I could relax on the couch and really enjoy my treat!!
Other than that- not too much going on- Have a great day!!!

Anyone!! Could anyone who knows about “Wendy’s Plan” please tell me their opinions on it. I’ve read about it in the past on Dottie’s site, but it was cast in a negative light there. I found a link for it off of someone’s blog today & read more about it. I have to admit it makes sense to me & when I look at my food journals- really makes sense. I think I’d like to give it a try, but I just don’t know if it’s a good idea or not. I’d really appreciate any feedback or experience anyone has to share!! Thanks!!

Pretty typical day… I got 2 short low intensity walks in, one up & down the driveway (1/4 mile long) w/ the kids to get the mail- but I carried Zeke who is about 25 lbs now, but still a pretty slow pace & the second to roll the trash can out to the curb. (Jason’s mouth is still pretty sore & the pain meds make him dizzy & nauseous- plus I figured I could use the AP’s!!) Here’s my menu for today- sorry I can’t stay longer to chat tonight- very busy day tomorrow & lots to do b4 bed 2nite!!

I can hardly believe that 5 years ago today, I held my firstborn in my arms for the very first time. The years have FLOWN by so quickly- it’s sad & exciting to watch her grow all at the same time. Jason & I took her out for dinner (”cheesy pizza”- white pizza is her favorite), some birthday shopping & a special treat (Cold Stone!!). We had a great time spending time with just her & she loved it!!
Crazy April-
This month is going to be INSANE!! There is so much going on it isn’t even funny!! This weekend is Elly’s birthday party & Easter. Next Saturday is Elly’s friend party with the girls from pre-school. The following week we are driving (with 3 children) to Kentucky for Jason’s cousin’s wedding. Boot Camp will start up again, then the weekend after that my sister Joslyn is MOVING! And in there somewhere (I can’t say when in case she’s reading this…) is my other sister’s SURPRISE bridal shower. (If you are reading this Jenalyn- don’t even bother trying to figure it out! Obviously it’s going to be this month unless you think we’d do it a week before your wedding- trust me we’re not THAT crazy!!) Anyway.. that’s my insane month- throw in all the normal stuff & add bouncing around and preparing for one event after the next after the next! Hopefully, I’ll be able to keep up with eating well & exercising instead of stuffing my face over the stress!!
Anyway, here’s my menu for the day. BTW, I decided to skip the Cold Stone & have some of the Breyer’s Light I had at home in my freezer. Even a SMALL of what I normally would get at CS is almost 20 points!! Just not worth it to me (at this point anyway!)
