10:22…………

10 Minutes, 22 Seconds….. that was my time for the mile this morning. I’m not sure how good or bad that is… (anyone??) I finished in the middle of a group of about 50 people. As I said earlier, I was worried about the old or really out of shape people beating me, but it’s funny- I couldn’t tell you who finished when (except that I DID beat my sister by about 10 seconds!! Sorry- I told you I was competitive!) :o D I ran -almost the entire time- did have to walk twice, but less than 1/4 lap total- and not until into the 3rd lap!! That is a huge improvement for me from last Boot Camp- then I was walking after the first lap. Also, today, the last 1/2 lap I was able to kick it up a notch and sprint at the end- before I had nothing left to give by then! So, I am happy with today- for now! I have no idea if it’s good or not… but I am pretty confident that I will be able to improve my time- if for no other reason than by the end of June it won’t be cold out anymore. I have a really hard time running & breathing in the cold. Both of the times that I walked were b/c I couldn’t breathe, not because my body was tired- it wanted to keep going & my lungs said NO. Oh well- it’s my starting point & it’s also better than my last time of slightly over 11 minutes at the end of the last Boot Camp- only thing to do now is work hard & improve!! :o D

*** Well, I’m pooped tonight!! I’ve some cleaning and other stuff to do yet & a long day ahead of me tomorrow, so I think I’ll save the chatting for another time.
